Hanging a gallery wall in a kids’ room, with a template
A gallery wall only works when everything lines up. We make it easy for you.
Ready to hang as a gallery: a paper template shows where every nail goes.
Why it matters
On a gallery wall every millimetre shows. One crooked frame or uneven gaps, and the whole wall looks restless.
The tricky part
- Every frame has its hanger in a different place.
- Measuring gaps by hand takes time and easily goes wrong.
- A hole in the wrong place stays in the wall.
How we solve it
- Level the template with a spirit level and fix it to the wall.
- Put the nails on the marked crosses.
- Remove the paper and hang the pictures. Done!
What to keep in mind
- Before drilling, check that no electricity, gas or water lines run through the wall.
- Choose nails, screws and plugs that suit your wall and the weight of the frames.
- Hang the frames where children cannot pull them down, and not directly above the bed.
